We are currently investigating the use of thermal imagery captured from drones, using the Micasense altum sensor. The first application for the imagery was the counting of deer on open moorland using orthomosaic imagery. Unfortunately the results have not been good there currently seems to be an issue with the calabration of the thermal sensor which both Micasense and DroneAG a UK supplier are looking at.
Further research is being undertaken using the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual.
